History
Alam Group of companies was founded by the Chairman of Alam Group, Mr.Manzur Alam.
In 1965, the first company Uganda Steel Window Ltd., was established with an aim to manufacure doors, windows, louvers, shop fronts, slotted angles, hacksaw blades, wire ropes, welding rods, fencing, steel trunks, BRC, steel pipes and all kind of furniture.
Uganda Steel Window Company Ltd., which later became Casements (A) Ltd, helped to drive the establishment of all the companies which are underneath the Alam Group umbrella today.
