Alam Group won the UMA ward of the year 2001. EKono Homes to build residensial estates The contract was signed on 12th May 2001 in the presensece of the Honourable Minister of Tourism and antiquties at the Nile Hotel this morning

1.  Sponsoring of sports especially Golf Tournaments, Kampala Kids league tournaments and Boxing.

Golfing:

This is one of the sports Alam Group of companies has taken pleasure in sponsoring with an aim of developing this talent further in the younger generation.
The last big event sponsored was the 59th Uganda open which took place at the Kitante course in Kampala. With its Regional outlook, golfers from Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda too participated in this colourful event.

The tournament was plated at two levels, the main competition featured handicap 0/9 and subsidiary handicap 10-18 respectively. The 59th Uganda Open was one that set several records. The overall winner Deo Akope of Entebbe Golf Club, equaled the 33 year old course record by carding an amazing 65 Gross and in the subsidiary twelve year old Brian Tolit won the Net with 280.

2.   Contribute a lot towards the Muslim communities in the construction of mosques and any other related activities

3.   Alam Group has played an important role in promoting the children's sporting skills through the sponsorships of tournaments and sports wear is concerned. Kampala Kids League club has been one of the beneficiaries and Nakivubo Children's Football club.
