WELCOME TO ALAM GROUP OF COMPANIES
Alam Group of Companies has been in existence for over half a century and is primarily involved in the building and construction industry. The Company was founded by Mr.Manzur Alam who is chairman of Alam Group.
Uganda Steel Windows Ltd. was established in 1965 under the Alam Group umbrella. The company is responsible for manufacturing metal doors, windows, louvres, shop front, slotted angles, hacksaw blades, wire ropes, welding rods, fencing, steel trunks, BRC and all kinds of furniture and steel pipes.
The name Uganda Steel Windows Ltd. was later changed to Casements (A) Ltd. in 1967. Six (6) other companies associated with the building industry were established there after, Steel Rolling Mills Ltd., M. A. Farm Industries Ltd., Ekono Homes Ltd., AMA Ply Ltd., Roofclad Ltd., Oxygas Ltd, and Alam Construction (EA.) Ltd., Two further business were established relating to the service industry, Gold Trust Bank Ltd. (Banking institutions) and Inn of Uganda (Tourism and safari lodge operators).
